A Stunning Catholic Ceremony at St. Michael the Archangel in Schererville, IN

The ceremony took place at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Schererville, Indiana, and the church was absolutely stunning. The priest delivered a beautiful homily, so heartfelt and personal that there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

One of my favorite Catholic wedding traditions is when a couple chooses someone special to sing the Ave Maria as they dedicate their marriage to Mary. This bride and groom asked their cousin to sing it, and in Spanish. It was so beautiful and moving for everyone in the church, especially me. I love my girl Mary! Moments like this are why I love photographing Catholic weddings: faith, family, and culture all woven together into one unforgettable moment.

A Gary Aquatorium Wedding Reception to Remember

The reception at the Gary Aquatorium was truly to die for. Cocktail hour in the courtyard was the perfect way for guests to mingle and celebrate, and then everyone moved upstairs for dinner just as the sun was setting. I cannot recommend this Northwest Indiana wedding venue enough. It's perfect for couples who want a unique, historic space with gorgeous light and room to celebrate.

We were blessed with a beautiful sunset, and I captured some of my favorite wedding portraits I have ever taken. Golden light, a dreamy venue, and a couple completely in love. It doesn't get better than that! If you're planning a Gary Aquatorium wedding, make sure to build sunset portraits into your timeline. You won't regret it.
